Tiny witch legs for floral arrangements4/12/2023 ![]() ![]() This arrangement used: 3 viburnum heads, 2 roses, 3 tulips, fill and greens as needed. ![]() You will see below the different method I use for a tight arrangement. ![]() I use this grid method when making a loose arrangement. The grid helps your flowers stay in place. Since I was going for a loose feel with this arrangement I made a grid on the top of the vase using floral tape that is 1/4″ thick and made 1-2″ squares. I used a glass with a 3 inch opening and a pedestal base. I like the most showy arrangement to be in my kitchen or common area. Since we are only making small flower arrangements, you will not need the full branch, rather just the ‘twigs’. I have broken the greens into smaller segments instead of using one full branch. The photo above shows greens after they have been cleaned. See THIS POST from last year on how I clean tulips – it is the same manner for all flowers. Removing them will ensure your arrangement lives longer. It feels wasteful to remove the green from all your flowers but you don’t want leaves in the water because they will breed bacteria. With flowers, like roses for example, remove the majority of the leaves. This means getting your flowers prepared to use. – 10 stems myrtle (similar: boxwood, ruscus, anything with a stiff form) These are your stiff greens.Ĭleaning your flowers is first thing and an important step. – 5 stems eucalyptus (similar: seeded eucalypus, fern, anything with a loose form) These are your loose greens. – 5 stems waxflower (similar: same as above) These are your fill flowers. – 5 stems solidago (similar: wax flower, baby’s breath, astrantia, aster or any fill flower) These are your fill flowers. – 2 stems viburnum/6 flower heads total (similar: hydrangea, spider mum or anything with a large bloom) These are your bulk flowers. – 10 stems tulips (similar: lisianthus, ranunculus, anenome, spray carnation or anything with a small bloom) These are your secondary feature flowers. – 6 garden roses (similar: roses, carnation, peony or anything with a medium sized bloom) These are your feature flowers. Here is what I purchased to make all 3 small flower arrangements: Today, I made small flower arrangements for the kitchen, bathroom, and bedside table. Instead, I like to buy a few bunches of flowers and then make my own small flower arrangements to scatter all over the place. I have a small apartment and to have one large arrangement would overwhelm my space. ![]() I’m the kind of girl that likes to have flowers in every room. So, grab a bubbling brew, pet a black cat, and hope that nobody transforms into a toad.Īre you looking for Halloween gifts this Halloween or Harvest season?
