Factorio wood3/27/2023 That should put the trains in automatic, but they shouldn't be moving. It adds 2 new types of floors: Wood Floors and Polished Wood Floors. Set each train to make its next stop the station it is parked at (via the "play" button next to that station in the train schedule GUI). Factorio version: 0.15 Downloaded by: 3 users Kind of exactly what it says. To start it up the first time, do the following:Īdd a constant combinator making signal red = 1Ĭonnect that combinator to the central substation with green wire. If they are out of wood, trains will remain at the stations until there is 1200 wood in the chests and the timer circuit is at <50000. This prevents a case where all the wood has been burned up, which might result in the trains running out of fuel. ![]() Trains are only allowed to leave the stations if each requester chest contains 300 wood (1200 total in the system). The trains go around the loop for the whole time the stations are disabled (50000 ticks), then park and refuel for the last 10000 ticks. To leave a bit of buffer, the fueling stations reenable after 50000 ticks (13m52s) There is a timer that counts up to 60000 and then resets. Turned out to be quite enjoyable to watch :).ģ00 wood is enough to run a train for 60000 ticks (16m40s) I've seen other people make train-based wood burners before, so here's my version. Click the assembler to set the iron gear wheel for production.I've started building a megabase, and have quite a bit of wood as a result of clearing trees to build things. Once the assembler is placed, place an inserter with the arrow pointing into the assembler directly next to the assembler. To begin automating iron gear wheels, the player needs to build and place an assembler. The player can now pull plates off this line by reversing the inserters' orientation, grabbing plates off the belt, and placing them in storage or an Assembler. If everything worked correctly, all the inserters should be pulling plates out of the furnaces. Finally, run power to all the inserters using electric poles from the closest active powerline. Place one inserter in between every furnace and conveyor belt in the line. Holding down left click, draw a line of belts parallel to the furnaces, in either direction. Have the inserter's arrow pointing away from the miner. Return to the iron smelting furnaces and place an inserter on the opposite side of the furnace as the miner. To start automating the production of more complicated items, handcraft around 100 conveyor belts. One or two will due until the stone, and coal mining is automated. Once the player has a decent amount of Iron plates in production, they should create the same miner-furnace pair on their selected copper node. ![]() This layout will make conveyor belts easy to run. Yes, using drones if you want the wood is the only (and pretty easy) way. Originally posted by Warlord: red blueprint is a 'unbuild this item' blueprint. Repeat this process until there are several pairs of miners and furnaces, collecting more fuel and stone as needed. Yes, using drones if you want the wood is the only (and pretty easy) way. Place more miners and furnaces next to the first iron miner creating two lines, one of the miners and one of the furnaces. The player should use the stone gathered and the plates manufactured to build more miners, using stone to make stone furnaces. They are faster to destroy and yield a significantly greater amount of stone then hand mining a coal or stone patch. The fastest way to gather stone and fuel necessary to craft and power furnaces and miners is to find rocks and huge rocks. Like the Hopper's automation function in Minecraft, the player is now free to explore and gather more materials while their machines make plates.
